Burgers to fly from the heavens in Dublin

Burger King joins Just Eat’s drone delivery expansion in Dublin with Manna.

Just Eat has expanded its drone delivery service in Dublin, adding Burger King at Blanchardstown Centre to its growing list of airborne restaurant partners.

The move follows the successful rollout of drone deliveries with Boojum in the Dublin 15 area and marks a further step in Just Eat’s collaboration with Irish drone operator Manna.

“Over the past year, we’ve evolved from a single partner drone delivery trial to preparing our platform to support hundreds of restaurant and grocery partners”

Customers within a 3km radius of Blanchardstown Centre can now receive Burger King orders via drone, with delivery times measured in minutes. The drones, operated by Manna, are equipped with advanced safety features and monitored by dispatchers throughout each flight.

The airborne future of food delivery

Amanda Roche-Kelly, managing director of Just Eat Ireland, said the company is focused on scaling innovative delivery solutions.

“From expanding our drone delivery service with Manna in Dublin to leveraging the power of AI, we’re creating smarter, faster, and more flexible ways to deliver. Over the past year, we’ve evolved from a single partner drone delivery trial to preparing our platform to support hundreds of restaurant and grocery partners.”

Roche-Kelly added that Just Eat has broadened access to its services across iOS, Android, and web platforms, aiming to make drone delivery available to more customers in the months ahead.

Eoghan Huston, chief operating officer at Manna, said the partnership is helping to redefine food delivery in Ireland.

“Our zero emissions technology is designed to integrate seamlessly with platforms like Just Eat and deliver real impact, not just in speed and efficiency, but by making food delivery even more accessible to the communities we serve.”

He noted that Manna and Just Eat have worked closely to scale the solution and fine-tune the user experience, setting a new standard for delivery innovation.

Derek Mulligan, director of Operations at OKR Group, which operates Burger King in Ireland, said the initiative offers new ways to reach customers.

“We’re always looking for new ways to deliver the flame-grilled taste our customers love and teaming up with Just Eat and Manna allows us to do that in an incredibly innovative way. This partnership not only gives our customers more choice in how they enjoy Burger King but also opens new opportunities for us as a brand to reach more people in faster, more efficient ways.”
