Irish entrepreneur’s brand agency Rowdy to create 20 jobs

Lisa Clarke’s Rowdy Studio expands Irish footprint with strategic branding wins.

Rowdy Studio, the London-based branding agency founded by Irish entrepreneur Lisa Clarke, is expanding its operations in Ireland following a series of high-profile client wins.

The agency, which specialises in strategic brand development, has secured mandates across major Irish property and technology projects, including the Glass Bottle development in Dublin and a full brand overhaul for CalypsoAI, recently acquired for $180 million.

“Our clients recognise that brand is the catalyst to growth. Brands should never sit still”

Founded in 2010 by Clarke, a former Ireland hockey international, London, Dublin and Manchester-based Rowdy Studio has grown from a post-crisis start-up to a full-service agency with 10 full-time staff and a flexible partner network.

The firm is now targeting growth to 20 employees across the UK and Ireland, supported by new leadership hires including Dave Blendis as studio lead and strategy director.

“Our clients recognise that brand is the catalyst to growth,” Clarke said. “Brands should never sit still. Our focus is on creating bigger, better impact for brands and businesses in an increasingly busy world, where change is constant and genuine connection is challenging.”

Rowdy’s Irish portfolio includes branding work for the Clery’s Quarter redevelopment on O’Connell Street and the Carriageworks, a $500 million apartment scheme in Dublin’s north docklands.

The agency also counts UCD Professional Academy, Park Developments, DigitalWell, and Wilson Hartnell among its Irish clients.

The firm’s UK client base includes venture capital firm Accel, law firm Foot Anstey, and global investment manager Nuveen. It also works with cross-border clients such as Bain Capital, Forvis Mazars, and SW3 Capital, for which it developed the Occu brand for build-to-rent housing.

Rowdy Studio has received multiple industry accolades, including two Transform Awards Europe for its work with Amply, an Irish-founded adtech company, and an Institute of Designers in Ireland award in 2024.

Clarke said the agency’s sector-agnostic approach allows it to apply insights across industries. “We focus on the audiences a brand serves and how to connect with those audiences. Working across a range of sectors gives us great insights into best practice and allows us to cross-pollinate ideas to address the challenges faced by growing businesses.”
