Olive launches major national Education Tech Hub

New Carrick-on-Shannon centre will provide device deployment, repairs, cloud management and digital learning support for schools nationwide.

Olive for Education, part of Olive Group, has opened a new National Service and Support Centre in Carrick-on-Shannon, creating what the company describes as Ireland’s largest dedicated post-primary IT service and support operation.

Located at the Carrick-on-Shannon Business Campus in Co. Leitrim, the facility will act as the central hub for the company’s services to post-primary schools across Ireland, bringing together device rollout, repairs, logistics, technical support and digital learning expertise under one roof.

“When schools are choosing a technology partner, the question that matters most is a simple one: who will be there when something goes wrong?”

The centre is designed to manage the full lifecycle of technology deployment and support for schools. Services include tablet and laptop delivery, cloud-based provisioning and imaging, logistics management, device servicing and repairs, and ongoing customer support.

The operation is also supported by specialist Microsoft 365 and Google expertise to help schools manage licensing, security and day-to-day system administration.

Reliable tech support

A key feature of the new facility is Olive for Education’s Technology Enhanced Learning (TEL) Centre. The centre is staffed by education specialists who work directly with teachers and school leaders to support the integration of technology into classroom teaching and learning.

Gary Hoey, Head of Education at Olive for Education, said the investment reflects the growing importance of reliable technology support for schools.

“When schools are choosing a technology partner, the question that matters most is a simple one: who will be there when something goes wrong? A support center of this scale, staffed by people who work with post-primary schools every day, is the answer. We guarantee faster turnaround, better service, and a single point of contact for every school we work with, wherever they are in the country.”

The new centre represents a significant investment by Olive for Education in both infrastructure and specialist talent. By centralising provisioning, logistics, repairs, customer support and technology-enhanced learning expertise, the company aims to provide schools with a consistent service model regardless of location.

The opening comes as schools continue to expand their use of digital devices and cloud-based learning platforms, increasing demand for dedicated support services and rapid response capabilities.

Olive for Education said the National Service and Support Centre is now fully operational and supporting schools across the country.
