Macmarts to create 40 new jobs in Limerick

Limerick cloud business Macmarts expands as it launches new software products into Irish and European markets.

Macmarts is to create 40 new jobs in Limerick over the next three years to support its expansion into Europe.

The business recently moved into a new 12,000 sq ft office space at the National Technology Park in Limerick.

“Our software is a game changer and we believe will become the go-to solution for teams across the world as they seek to control their budgets in real time”

Macmarts has also appointed Keith Doran as chief technology officer who brings years of experience and new skills to their leadership team.

A sound approach to SaaS

Macmarts core product ‘SpendBooks’ allows corporate-wide teams to track and control spending in real-time. Trusted by procurement, finance, engineering and project management teams, because it helps them perform their work more efficiently, releasing them from spreadsheets to control their OpEx and CapEx budgets in real-time.

The company claims that SpendBooks can reclaim up to 75% of resource time spent on procurement-related activities.

The Limerick based company is also launching ‘ProjectBooks’, a cloud based project resource management application empowering teams in manufacturing organisations to manage project resources and control project spending in ‘real-time’. ‘ProjectBooks’ is the only project resource management software built specifically for manufacturing organisations to deliver projects on time and on budget with real time visibility of all project spend and resources.

Macmarts’ unified cloud based SaaS software system products are currently in operation within leading multinational companies in the healthcare industry.

The company’s new headquarters, aptly named ‘Innovation House’ is a dedicated 12,000 square feet software facility. The company will begin the process of building a team that will deliver this service in Ireland and beyond. The new positions will cover a range of roles including product management, software engineering, sales, marketing and customer success.

“We are delighted to announce the launch of Macmarts into the Irish and wider European markets,” said Macmarts CEO Tony Frawley.

“Companies in heavily regulated industries can now use our technology to lessen the time that goes into managing multimillion-euro budgets. Our software is a game changer and we believe will become the go-to solution for teams across the world as they seek to control their budgets in real time.

“As businesses navigate industry 4.0, companies must have the resources available to survive and thrive. The Macmarts system enables these companies on their digital transformation journey to focus on real inputs and outputs such as resource efficiency, cost-saving, connectivity and data analysis.

“Finally, I would like to warmly welcome Keith to our leadership team. Keith brings a wealth of experience and knowledge with him and we look forward to working with and learning from him as we continue on this journey. We are also excited to be announcing the growth of our team in Limerick to help us continue to drive our goal of being the global leaders in spend and project resource optimisation software.”
