StormHarvester leads Irish contingent at 24th place as Deloitte opens applications for 2026 Fast 50 awards.
Ireland’s technology sector has delivered another strong performance on the international stage, with 22 companies securing places in the Deloitte 2025 EMEA Technology Fast 500 ranking of the fastest-growing technology businesses across Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
The achievement places Irish innovators alongside some of the world’s most dynamic technology companies and highlights the continued momentum within the country’s indigenous technology ecosystem.
“For a small island, our entrepreneurs consistently deliver outstanding performances on a global stage, and that’s what this ranking really captures”
Across the 500 companies from 24 countries included in the ranking, the average four-year revenue growth rate was 1,024.47%. Irish companies closely matched that performance, recording an average growth rate of 1,016.48%.
The Irish contingent
Leading the Irish contingent was StormHarvester, which ranked 24th overall after delivering revenue growth of more than 3,012.4% over four years.
The Belfast-headquartered business, which has developed an anomaly detection platform that helps wastewater utilities predict and prevent flooding and pollution incidents, also claimed the top spot in Deloitte Ireland’s 2025 Technology Fast 50 rankings.
Mail Metrics and Klearcom also secured places within the top 100 companies across the EMEA region, ranking 54th and 74th respectively.
Mail Metrics provides customer communications solutions for organisations operating in regulated industries, while Klearcom specialises in global voice and interactive voice response (IVR) testing services for businesses that depend on customer communications.
The latest results build on Ireland’s growing presence in the ranking. Last year, 20 Irish companies featured in the Fast 500, with fintech company Wayflyer placing highest at 43rd.
Among the other Irish companies to make this year’s list were Tines, Circit, CleverCards, AccountsIQ, GRID Finance, CATAGEN, EdgeTier, Swoop Finance and Aerlytix.
Ambition and resilience
James Toomey, Fast 50 lead and Deloitte Ireland partner, said the results reflected the ambition and resilience of Ireland’s homegrown technology sector.
“The Deloitte EMEA Technology Fast 500 continues to highlight the exceptional strength of Ireland’s homegrown tech sector. Behind every one of these companies is a team that chose to push a bit further, a bit faster. For a small island, our entrepreneurs consistently deliver outstanding performances on a global stage, and that’s what this ranking really captures.
“It is also a testament to the critical role domestic direct investment (DDI) plays in the resilience of the wider economy and the importance of having supports in place that help more companies like these grow and scale. Congratulations to all the companies in the rankings.
“Applications for the 2026 Fast 50 rankings are now also open, offering an excellent opportunity for ambitious technology companies to join this distinguished group.”
The strong showing comes as Deloitte officially opens applications for its 2026 Technology Fast 50 awards programme, one of Ireland’s best-known recognitions for high-growth indigenous technology businesses.
The Fast 50 ranks companies based on revenue growth over a four-year period and has built a reputation for identifying future industry leaders. Ireland’s technology sector has produced approximately 10 unicorn companies, with several having emerged through the Fast 50 programme.
Notable alumni include LetsGetChecked, Flipdish, Fenergo, Wayflyer and cybersecurity firm Tines, all of which have gone on to achieve significant international growth.
For some participants, repeated recognition has become an important benchmark of commercial success.
Nick Keegan, founder and CEO of Mail Metrics, said: “I firmly believe we’re only getting started in Mail Metrics. While we’ve achieved a lot, there is plenty more to come. Being recognised as one of the fastest growing technology companies in the Deloitte EMEA Fast 500 for two years in a row is an incredible recognition, benchmarking our success against leading tech companies across the globe. I pay huge credit to our team and our amazing clients for helping us achieve this.”
Laura Haldane, co-founder and chief revenue officer of SciLeads, highlighted the value of the ranking’s focus on measurable growth.
“We’re an organisation that loves data, which is why we’re strongly aligned with the objectivity of the Deloitte Fast 50 awards. We’ve ranked for 5 years in a row, and that is purely based on our revenue growth. It’s a valuable and credible recognition for us when we meet with new clients, and an opportunity for us to pause and celebrate how we’re building our business.”
Applications for the 2026 Deloitte Technology Fast 50 are now open. Entries close on 25 September, with winners due to be announced at an awards ceremony in Dublin on 26 November 2026. Learn more and apply here
