Irish edtech firm Grinds360’s revenue surge

Tuition fee sign-ups reach €6.34m as Dublin-based education platform Grinds360 forecasts further growth in the year ahead.

Irish edtech company Grinds360 has reported a sharp increase in revenue and a move into profitability as it enters the 2026/27 academic year with strong demand from students and parents across Ireland.

The Dublin-based online and hybrid grinds provider, founded by Rónán Murdock and Brendan Kavanagh, said total revenue for the year ended August 2026 reached €5.3 million, up from €1.8 million in the previous financial year.

“We are building Grinds360 for long-term scale. Students and parents want quality, affordability and flexibility”

The company said tutoring sign-ups during the period generated €6.34 million in tuition fees, including €1 million relating to the 2026/27 academic year that will be recognised as deferred income.

The business also reported a significant improvement in operating performance. On an EBITDA basis, Grinds360 moved from a loss of €632,691 in 2024/25, which reflected the costs associated with establishing and scaling the business, to a profit of €1.7 million in 2025/26.

The company is forecasting EBITDA of approximately €3.4 million for the current academic year, supported by continued growth in student sign-ups, additional subjects, expanded teaching capacity and ongoing investment in its platform.

Demand for grinds soars

Demand ahead of the new academic year appears strong. Grinds360 said sign-ups during June and July 2026 were approximately double the levels recorded during the same period in 2025. Revenue during the first half of 2026 was approximately 300% ahead of the equivalent period a year earlier, while tutoring sign-ups in July were approximately 83% higher year-on-year.

The company said the growth reflects increasing demand from parents and students seeking affordable and structured educational support across multiple subjects. It has continued to invest in technology, learning resources and the recruitment of teaching staff to support expansion.

According to Grinds360, positive student outcomes and strong word-of-mouth recommendations continue to drive growth. The company said many families who initially enrol one child subsequently return to the platform for younger siblings.

“Grinds360 has moved from early-stage investment into strong operating performance in a short period of time,” said Rónán Murdock, Chief Executive of Grinds360.

“Revenue grew from approximately EUR 1.85 million to €6.34 million in tuition fees over the last year, and the business has moved quickly from pre-trading loss to strong profitability. That is a significant transition and reflects the strength of demand from students and parents.”

Grinds360’s model is designed to provide families with access to educational support across multiple subjects through a single annual subscription. Students are offered live weekly grinds, recorded lessons, revision courses, exam-focused notes, workshops and additional learning resources.

The company said it has expanded its range of subjects while continuing to invest in teacher recruitment, technology infrastructure and learning content for Leaving Certificate and Junior Cycle students.

Murdock said the business remains focused on long-term growth and scaling its operations.

“We are building Grinds360 for long-term scale. Students and parents want quality, affordability and flexibility. Our performance over the last year shows that the market is responding strongly to that proposition.”

The market opportunity remains substantial. A total of 146,553 students registered for State examinations in Ireland during 2026, including 71,698 Leaving Certificate candidates and 74,855 Junior Certificate candidates.

Grinds360 said it expects similar participation levels in 2027 as it continues to expand its reach in the education sector.
