DevAlly secures €2m to advance global accessibility compliance.
DevAlly, a Dublin-based start-up focused on digital accessibility compliance, has raised €2m in pre-seed funding to expand its team and accelerate its entry into the US market.
The company plans to grow its workforce to 16 people, primarily across product and engineering roles, as it scales operations in response to rising global demand for inclusive digital experiences.
“With this investment, we’re doubling down on great talent to help democratise accessibility once and for all”
Founded in 2024 by Cormac Chisholm (CEO), Patrick Guiney (CRO), and Darren Britton (CTO), DevAlly offers a platform that enables businesses to identify and resolve accessibility issues in digital products without requiring specialist expertise. The solution integrates directly into developer workflows, providing automated issue detection and step-by-step guidance to ensure compliance with accessibility standards.
The funding round was led by Miles Ahead, with participation from European angel investors, Enterprise Ireland, and the NDRC.
Helping firms meet EAA requirements
The European Accessibility Act (EAA), which came into force on 28 June 2025, has created new regulatory requirements for digital products and services across the EU. Despite this, fewer than 20% of companies are currently prepared, leaving many exposed to legal and financial risk. Non-compliance can result in fines of up to €500,000, exclusion from public contracts, and product bans.
DevAlly’s platform is designed to help companies meet these new standards efficiently. It enables rapid auditing and remediation of accessibility issues, reducing the need for costly external audits and allowing teams to maintain compliance throughout the product lifecycle.
Cormac Chisholm, CEO of DevAlly, explained: “If your product isn’t accessible, it’s broken. Accessible products reach more people, reduce legal risk, and strengthen your brand. As we make it effortless to build in, then suddenly you’re not just compliant, you’re ahead – creating products that don’t just feel better, but perform better too. With this investment, we’re doubling down on great talent to help democratise accessibility once and for all.”
The DevAlly is in the detail
DevAlly is already working with several technology enterprises and is positioning itself as a scalable solution for startups and scaleups seeking to embed accessibility into their digital products. The company’s platform supports secure integration with existing development tools and simplifies communication across teams, making accessibility a core part of product development rather than an afterthought.
“Behind DevAlly is a standout founding team whose clear vision and ability to deliver are already making a measurable impact,” said Luc Burgelman of Miles Ahead.
“DevAlly is redefining digital accessibility; this isn’t just a compliance checklist. It’s an end-to-end solution that empowers product teams to embed accessibility into design, development, and culture.”
Malaika Judd, Managing Director of the NDRC, added: “DevAlly is exactly the kind of startup we back at NDRC – founder-led, mission-driven, and solving a real, global problem. From day one in our accelerator, they stood out. We backed them early, helped connect them to design partners, customers, and mentors, and watched them turn accessibility from a compliance headache into a competitive edge.”
