Discover Ireland’s best horse racing companies, from equine tech and feed brands to apparel, stabling, supplements and more – supporting trainers, owners and riders. Barry Walsh reports.
According to this Deloitte report, the horse racing industry in Ireland generates approximately €2.4bn per annum. The industry employs approximately 10,000 people (working in stables or full-time racecourses) in Ireland, or indirectly (vets, farriers, part-time racecourses, etc.), approximately 15,000 people
Not only does Ireland have world-class, talented trainers like Willie Mullins or Aidan O’Brien and many other world-class, talented jockeys like Paul Townend or Colin Keane, but we also have world-class talent in farriers, vets, animal nutrition, horse racing clothing or accessories, and modern animal welfare technology.
While large companies such as Connelly’s Red Mills, Glanbia or Pegus Horse Feed tend to dominate some of these spaces, I decided to focus more on the smaller SMEs that would have everything that the horses, owners, trainers, jockeys, stable staff, or part-time enthusiasts need to be successful in the sports.
So, as Cheltenham approaches, here are some of the best horse racing-related companies in Ireland:
360equine.ie

Offerings extend to advanced tech like rail glide walkers (for 10-12 horses), oval/round pen walkers, solariums, treadmills, nebulisers, and oxygen concentrators, with full installation, after-sales support, flexible payments, and logistics handled professionally.
Praised in testimonials by trainers like Andrew McNamara, Paul O’Neill (Kilkrandy Stables), and owners such as Louise Halford (Copperbeach Sports Horses) for custom builds, precise measurements, timely delivery, and exceptional service, 360 Equine prioritises long-term relationships over mere sales.
Projects like Ballymaglassan Farm showcase integrated systems for elite facilities. Complementing Ireland’s equestrian network – from Quinn’s hoof supplements in Wicklow, Dapple’s stylish apparel, Gallagher’s Donegal centre, to TRI’s Turfmaster-stocked superstores – it equips studs, trainers, and riders for disciplines like racing and showjumping in a sector rooted in Kildare’s heritage.

Unlike competitors requiring withdrawal periods, Fenu Health allows use on competition day, meeting standards from the Turf Club, FEI, and Olympic Council. Backed early by trainer Jim Dreaper and Connolly’s RED Mills, the firm secured its first 1,000-unit order at Germany’s Equitana trade fair, expanding to exports in 15 countries with clients including five royal families and top yards.

Each horse is assessed against its own baseline over time, allowing subtle changes in movement to be identified early. Since going live, the system has already flagged several issues before trainers or vets had identified a problem, helping prompt earlier intervention. TrojanTrack is now being used by elite performance yards across Ireland and the UK, including those run by Mark McAuley, Shane Breen, Trevor Breen, and John Whitaker, and supports both performance management and welfare-focused monitoring in racehorses and sport horses.
Launched on iOS/Android after accelerators like SportX (Best Impact on Sport 2021), New Frontiers, and UCD AI Ecosystem (One to Watch 2025), TrojanTrack has raised €500k pre-seed funding and serves 200+ horses, with a full UK/Ireland commercial rollout planned for Q1 2026 ahead of US/Australia expansion. Endorsed by trainer Mark McAuley for yard efficiency, it cuts vet costs via data-driven insights, complementing Ireland’s equine leaders like Equilume’s light therapy, Horse First supplements by Paddy Hughes, EquiNutritive’s gut aids, Quinn’s hoof care, 360equine.ie stabling, Dapple apparel, and TRI’s Turfmaster gear.
