In March, the bank launched Zippay, enabling instant mobile-to-mobile payments, while Quicker Payments was introduced to provide UK business customers with same-day transfers. The bank has also rolled out digital tools including Benefits Finder, designed to help customers identify available tax benefits, and an online Electric Vehicle Marketplace to support consumers considering the switch to electric vehicles.

These initiatives followed the introduction of SEPA Instant in late 2025, enabling customers to send and receive euro payments instantly.

Bank of Ireland serves more than 4 million customers across Ireland, the UK and the European Union, providing services spanning retail, business and corporate banking, wealth management, life and pensions, specialist finance and asset finance.

Stripe, founded by Nenagh natives John and Patrick Collison, which maintains dual global headquarters in Dublin and San Francisco, provides financial infrastructure services used by millions of businesses worldwide, from startups to multinational enterprises.
