TRYKA teams up with Life Style Sports for a national fitness league launch, co-branded apparel, and community activations ahead of its RDS debut in October.
Irish hybrid fitness league TRYKA has confirmed a multi-year partnership with Life Style Sports, Ireland’s largest sports retailer, ahead of its national debut at the RDS Dublin in October.
The deal includes title sponsorship, a co-branded apparel range, and a series of community activations across the country.
“It gives us the platform to grow faster, reach more people, and put Ireland on the map in the emerging hybrid fitness space”
TRYKA, founded by entrepreneur Brian Lee, will host its inaugural event on 11–12 October at the RDS Simmonscourt. The league combines running intervals with functional fitness movements and is designed to be accessible to all fitness levels. A shorter format, TRYKA 500, has been developed to encourage participation from beginners, gym groups and corporate teams.
The partnership will see Life Style Sports support TRYKA throughout its 12-month race calendar, which concludes with a season finale in the Algarve in 2026. The collaboration also includes the launch of a TRYKA-branded apparel line, available online, in select Life Style Sports stores, and at TRYKA events.
Lee built Freshly Chopped from a single Dublin location in 2012 to over 65 international outlets before successfully exiting the business in 2024. The healthy fast-food chain transformed perceptions of quick-service dining through its focus on fresh ingredients and transparent preparation.
Emerging hybrid fitness space
“We’re delighted to have Life Style Sports on board as our title partner,” said Brian Lee. “Life Style understand the power of sport to bring people together at a local level, which is exactly what TRYKA is about; community, movement and making fitness events more inclusive.
“With Life Style Sports on board, TRYKA is set to ignite a nationwide fitness revolution. It gives us the platform to grow faster, reach more people, and put Ireland on the map in the emerging hybrid fitness space.”
In the lead-up to the RDS event, TRYKA will host community workout sessions and full race simulations at affiliate gyms across Ireland. Participants will receive coaching support and information about race-day expectations. All registered participants and affiliate gyms will also be provided with a free 12-week training plan developed by TRYKA’s coaching team.
Tickets for the inaugural event and details about upcoming gym activations are available at www.tryka.fit.
Mark Stafford, CEO of Life Style Sports, said the partnership aligns with the company’s values.
“TRYKA represents everything we stand for at Life Style Sports. It’s fresh, ambitious and rooted in community,” he said.
“We’re proud to support an Irish-led fitness movement that’s bringing people together in a new and exciting way. Through this partnership, we want to help more people get active, stay motivated, and experience the power of sport, no matter their starting point.”
