Scaling transport tech business Tranzaura aims to double workforce from 20 to 40 employees.
Irish business Tranzaura officially opened its new office in Limerick city centre and has revealed plans to double its workforce over the next 18 months as part of a strategic growth initiative.
The new facility, located in Limerick’s Georgian Quarter, was inaugurated by Limerick County TD Niall Collins and James Collins, interim chair of Limerick Twenty Thirty (LTT), an organisation focused on driving enterprise and investment across the MidWest region.
“We’re investing in our future, scaling our operations and deepening our Limerick roots”
“Our new office represents much more than just a change in location – it’s a clear signal of where Tranzaura is headed,” said Shane Mann, CEO of Tranzaura. “We want to grow our headcount by a minimum of 50% this year and have more than 40 employees in the company by this time in 2026.”
Fleet intelligence software
The Limerick-founded company has grown steadily year on year, helped by its growing presence in Ireland, the UK, and Australia. The firm brings real-time information to transport & fleet companies, to drive operational efficiencies , keep track of compliance obligations and manage assets.
Currently, 65% of red buses in London use the firm’s existing software, along with 36% of all buses across England. Additional clients include Irish Rail, builders merchant retailer Travis Perkins, utilities leader Yorkshire Water and packaging giant DS Smith.
The expansion comes following the launch earlier this year of what the company describes as an industry-first fleet intelligence software, designed to reduce costs and maximise operational efficiency by up to 30%. The company plans to hire across all business divisions, including product development, customer success, engineering, and sales.
“We’re investing in our future, scaling our operations and deepening our Limerick roots,” Mann added. “Limerick is our home and is the perfect place to do that, with its talent pool, strong infrastructure and growing tech community in the city centre.”
Founded in Limerick in 2010, Tranzaura has established itself as a significant player in transport technology, providing real-time information systems that help transport and fleet companies improve operational efficiencies, monitor compliance obligations, and manage assets.
The company’s client portfolio includes major organizations in Ireland and the UK, such as Irish Rail, builders merchant Travis Perkins, utilities leader Yorkshire Water, and packaging company DS Smith. Notably, Tranzaura’s software is currently used by 65% of London’s red buses and 36% of all buses across England.
Speaking at the opening, TD Niall Collins praised the company’s achievements: “Tranzaura is a great example of a homegrown Limerick company that is not only thriving locally but also competing and innovating on a global stage. Their continued growth and success underline the remarkable talent and entrepreneurial spirit that exists here in the Mid-West region.”
James Collins, chairman of Limerick Twenty Thirty, added: “I am thrilled to see Tranzaura’s expansion. This investment is a vote of confidence in Limerick’s capability to foster digital innovation and high-quality employment opportunities.”
The company is now looking to expand into the wider European market, building on its existing presence in Ireland, the UK, and Australia.
