Redevelopment of Wexford’s Riverside Park Hotel supported by Bank of Ireland

A major redevelopment of the popular Riverside Park Hotel in Enniscorthy is expected to strengthen the town’s attractiveness as an events destination.

Bank of Ireland has provided a €4 million financing facility to support a significant redevelopment and expansion project at the Riverside Park Hotel in Enniscorthy, Co. Wexford.

The investment will fund a 21-bedroom extension to the popular four-star hotel, alongside the redevelopment and expansion of its ballroom facilities. The project is expected to enhance the hotel’s capacity to cater for growing demand from both leisure and events markets in the region.

“This project will further enhance this fantastic hotel in Enniscorthy and reflects the group’s continued commitment to quality and development within the Irish tourism sector”

The Riverside Park Hotel is part of the Neville Park Hotel Group, owned by prominent Irish hotelier Colm Neville. The group operates several leading hospitality assets including Crown Quarter in Wexford town, Maldron Hotel Wexford and the Midlands Park Hotel in Portlaoise.

Colm Neville is a well-known figure in Irish tourism, serving as Vice President of the Irish Hotels Federation (IHF) and chairperson of Visit Wexford.

Supporting regional tourism growth

The latest investment reflects continued confidence in Ireland’s regional tourism offering, particularly in destinations such as Wexford that have seen renewed visitor interest in recent years.

The expanded facilities at the Riverside Park Hotel are expected to strengthen Enniscorthy’s attractiveness as a destination for weddings, conferences and large-scale events, while also supporting increased overnight stays.

Greg Martin, Senior Manager at Bank of Ireland Corporate and Commercial Banking, said the Bank is pleased to deepen its long-standing relationship with the Neville Park Hotel Group.

“We are delighted to support Colm Neville and the Neville Park Hotel Group with this latest investment in the Riverside Park Hotel. This project will further enhance this fantastic hotel in Enniscorthy and reflects the group’s continued commitment to quality and development within the Irish tourism sector.

“We look forward to continuing our strong relationship with Colm and his team as they grow and develop the business,”

Continued investment

The Riverside Park Hotel expansion represents the latest in a series of strategic investments by the Neville Park Hotel Group, which has been actively upgrading and repositioning its portfolio in recent years.

The group has focused on enhancing guest experience, expanding capacity, and developing premium food, beverage and events offerings across its properties.

The current project is set to deliver both economic and employment benefits locally, while reinforcing Co. Wexford’s position as a key tourism hub in Ireland’s southeast.

“I am delighted to continue my businesses longstanding relationship with Bank of Ireland who were more than happy to partner with us for this next expansion of our business and support our efforts to bring the business to another level of customer satisfaction,” commented Colm Neville.
