Noledge Group acquires Waterford firm Pimbrook

Deal adds 1,750 SME customers and establishes fourth regional office as Irish ERP provider scales across Ireland and the UK.

The Noledge Group, the Irish cloud-based enterprise resource planning and financial management software specialist, has acquired Waterford-headquartered accounting and payroll firm Pimbrook in a deal that will nearly double group revenues to €10 million by the end of 2026.

The acquisition brings Noledge’s projected revenue up from €5.7 million in 2025 and increases group headcount to 67, with Pimbrook’s 14 employees joining the business. Pimbrook will continue to operate as a standalone company and retain its brand following the transaction.

“It represents a significant growth opportunity for Noledge and our expected revenue increase reflects the strength of the combined businesses”

Founded more than 20 years ago and based in Tramore, Pimbrook provides Sage accounting and payroll software to approximately 1,750 small and medium-sized enterprise customers across Ireland and the UK. Its client base spans sectors including healthcare, legal services and manufacturing.

A natural fit

Noledge said the deal strengthens its ability to serve smaller businesses, while giving Pimbrook customers access to a wider portfolio of financial management and ERP solutions, deeper technical expertise and additional support resources.

Ray Ryan, chief executive of The Noledge Group, said the acquisition was the result of a strong strategic fit between the two organisations.#

“The synergy between our two companies and the alignment in our expertise makes this acquisition a natural fit. It represents a significant growth opportunity for Noledge and our expected revenue increase reflects the strength of the combined businesses.”

Ryan also highlighted the importance of regional investment to the group’s long-term plans.

“We also recognise the huge advantages of regional investment, and we plan to tap into Pimbrook’s impressive presence in the South East to continue to grow the business outside of Dublin. The move strengthens our market position as a leading provider of financial management software and ERP solutions that are tailored to customers’ needs and, in turn, drive faster growth for businesses.”

The acquisition establishes Noledge’s fourth office, adding Waterford to its existing locations in Dublin, Belfast and Newcastle. The expanded group now serves more than 2,000 customers across Irish and UK markets.

Noledge comprises several specialist businesses, including Envisage, a long-established Sage partner, and OSSM, a NetSuite solutions provider. The addition of Pimbrook broadens its capabilities across multiple customer segments, from small enterprises to larger, more complex organisations.

Pimbrook managing director Stephanie Davies said the company’s focus on long-term customer relationships had been central to its growth and would remain a priority following the acquisition.

“Our hands-on, customer-focused approach has enabled us to build long-standing relationships with Irish SMEs at various stages of growth. Both Pimbrook and Noledge prioritise deep customer relationships and, as we move forward together, that commitment to our combined customers will be key.

She added that customers would benefit from access to a broader set of tools and services as part of the enlarged group.

“The expanded company will equip businesses with an enhanced suite of tools that will support their continued growth and innovation. Our shared purpose and core values will also enable the group to accelerate its own growth and cement its place as a leader in the market.”

Noledge said the integration would allow it to deliver more comprehensive financial management and ERP solutions while maintaining the local expertise and service model that Pimbrook customers are familiar with.
