“As global demand for climate solutions intensifies, Ireland’s start-ups are increasingly attracting international attention and investment”
The presence of world-class research institutions, such as Trinity College Dublin, University College Dublin, University College Cork and University of Galway, has helped incubate breakthrough companies like NEG8 Carbon and BioNua, while accelerators like Bord na Móna’s Accelerate Green and Enterprise Ireland’s Innovation Arena are providing vital funding and mentorship.
Ireland’s clean tech ecosystem is also notable for its diversity – spanning marine biotech, EV infrastructure, AI-powered sustainability platforms, and second-life battery applications. Many of these ventures are female-led or socially driven, reflecting a broader commitment to inclusive and responsible innovation.
