InsTech.ie selects ten startups for its 2025 Foundry programme, advancing insurtech in solar, pensions, eldercare, AI audits, ESG, and cyber risk.
InsTech.ie has announced the ten startups selected for the first cohort of its Foundry programme, a new initiative aimed at advancing Ireland’s position in global insurance technology.
The programme, delivered in partnership with Furthr, supports early-stage ventures developing solutions across solar insurance, financial automation, eldercare, and cyber risk.
“These founders are tackling some of the most pressing challenges in insurance, and we’re excited to help them succeed”
Among the cohort is Solvera Underwriting, which has developed a parametric “Sunshine Guarantee” product tailored for solar installations. Finerty is tackling inefficiencies in pension transfers through automation, while Halo is focused on creating accessible whole-life and long-term care insurance products for the US market.
Other participants include Protostars AI, which applies artificial intelligence to insurance audits; Suredocs, offering digital claims infrastructure; and Amethyst Care, which is building eldercare-focused insurance solutions. The group also features BlueDot, ITUS Secure Technologies, ICE ID, and Regzact, whose innovations span ESG analytics, cyber protection, identity management, and compliance automation.
Insurance for success in insurtech
“The Foundry is designed to help Irish insurtech founders validate their ideas and build scalable businesses,” InsTech.ie Director Aoife Brennan explained. “We’re proud to support a cohort that reflects the diversity and ambition of Ireland’s insurance innovation ecosystem.”
The programme connects startups with mentors, industry partners, and investors through a structured curriculum focused on product-market fit, regulatory navigation, and international growth.
Furthr CEO Conor Carmody added, “This initiative is about accelerating real-world solutions. These founders are tackling some of the most pressing challenges in insurance, and we’re excited to help them succeed.”
The Foundry marks a significant step in InsTech.ie’s mission to position Ireland as a hub for insurtech excellence, with plans to expand the programme in 2026.
