Strategic move by Irish business ICT Services to enhance capabilities in the retail, grocery, and hospitality sectors and lead to jobs growth.
ICT Services, an Irish-owned managed IT services provider, has acquired PCS Group to strengthen its position in retail technology.
The deal will contribute to projected turnover exceeding €30m and plans for 20% headcount growth over the next 12 months.
“The addition of PCS strengthens our position as Ireland’s go-to partner for retail innovation”
The acquisition of PCS Group, a retail technology and cash management solutions provider, represents a strategic move to enhance ICT’s capabilities in the retail, grocery, and hospitality sectors. The deal combines PCS’s in-store technology expertise with ICT’s nationwide engineering network and 24/7 support infrastructure.
Value, not just scale
Don Scanlon, managing director of ICT Services, said the acquisition aligns with the company’s core mission.
“ICT’s mission is simple—deliver exceptional IT services that help our clients grow. This acquisition is not just about scale; it’s about bringing even greater value to the communities and industries we serve,” Scanlon said.
“The addition of PCS strengthens our position as Ireland’s go-to partner for retail innovation, reinforcing our commitment to helping businesses operate more efficiently, sustainably, and successfully in an increasingly digital world.”
Founded in 2013, PCS Group has over a decade of experience serving major Irish retail and hospitality brands including Circle K, Centra, Spar and Adare Manor. The company specializes in solutions ranging from intelligent cash automation to electronic shelf labelling.
Alan Condron, director at PCS Group, described the acquisition as a natural progression for the company.
“This is a natural next step for PCS. ICT gives us the scale, strength, and nationwide footprint to accelerate what we do best – helping retailers work smarter,” Condron said.
ICT Services currently employs over 150 professionals across offices in Dublin, Cork, and Belfast. The company provides IT support to major clients including Elavon, RenaissanceRe, Woodie’s, Ladbrokes, KPMG and the Department of Justice.
