Cork robotics business HomeBot to clean up with Euronics deal

West Cork robotics start up HomeBot secures presence in more than 60 stores and unveils new Nozzie cleaning device.

HomeBot Ireland has secured a retail partnership with Euronics Ireland that will place its smart home robots and lawn‑care devices in more than 60 stores across the country for the first time.

The agreement gives the fast‑growing West Cork company its broadest retail reach to date and reflects the rising consumer appetite for automated household technology.

Founded in 2024 by Clara Mulligan and her husband, Alan O’Neill, the family‑run business has evolved from a single robotic product into a wider line of vacuum and mopping devices tailored to Irish households. Until now, most of its sales have come through online channels and live demonstrations at events.

Domestic tech meets independent retail

Euronics’ national sales manager, Stephen O’Loughlin, said the group saw an opportunity to strengthen its smart‑home range while supporting a domestic technology firm.

“We’re delighted to partner with HomeBot Ireland, showcasing the strength of independent Irish retailers and our commitment to supporting Irish businesses,” he said. “This collaboration combines Euronics’ extensive network with HomeBot Ireland’s innovative tech solutions, enhancing our offering to customers across Ireland.”

The rollout is supported by the company’s service hub in West Cork, which handles customer care, diagnostics and repairs. Most repairs are typically completed within 48 hours. The local support model has been central to the company’s pitch as a trusted Irish alternative to international brands.

Mulligan said the Euronics deal marked an important stage in the company’s development. “The partnership with Euronics is a huge step in our brand’s growth in Ireland,” she said. “Being available in Euronics stores will allow more people across Ireland to see our products in person and discover how smart home robots can make their everyday life easier, knowing that support and repairs are available locally when they need it.”

Stepping up

The partnership comes as HomeBot Ireland introduces its latest model, the Nozzie 4‑in‑1 Robot Vacuum and Mop. The device combines suction power, navigation software and a detachable base with a flexible nozzle designed to clean areas such as stairs, sofas and corners that robot vacuums typically struggle to reach.

All HomeBot Ireland products carry the Guaranteed Irish badge and are designed specifically for Irish home layouts and garden conditions. The company plans to expand its product line over the next year as additional smart‑home devices move through development. Customers can also access nationwide servicing through DPD’s click‑and‑collect network.

HomeBot Ireland, founded during the Covid lockdown after the founders saw a family member struggle with routine household tasks, aims to reduce the time spent on daily chores through practical automation.

Based in West Cork, it has become one of a growing number of Irish start‑ups building consumer‑facing technology from outside Dublin’s traditional innovation centres.
