Acquisition of Datalogix by Ekco lifts security division revenues to €100m as Dublin-based MSSP continues rapid expansion.
Scaling Irish tech business Ekco has acquired Cork-based Datalogix for an undisclosed sum in a deal that strengthens the Dublin company’s operational technology capabilities across Ireland, the UK and the US. This marks its fourth acquisition in little over a year.
The managed security service provider, which employs more than 1,000 people across Europe, Asia and Africa, said the addition of Datalogix will bring its security division to €100m in revenues, representing half of Ekco’s €200m in group turnover.
“This partnership is a perfect match – and we are looking forward to growing and learning together”
Datalogix specialises in designing and supporting secure operational technology infrastructure for companies in life sciences, pharmaceuticals, general manufacturing and critical national infrastructure.
The business has operated for more than two decades and will join Ekco’s security division under the leadership of Ekco Ireland chief executive Steve MacNicholas.
Vorsprung durch operational tech
MacNicholas said the two companies had known each other for many years and praised Datalogix’s “highly specialised and client focused capabilities” in industrial environments.
“With Ekco’s world class expertise in security-first managed services and cutting-edge technology, this partnership is a perfect match – and we are looking forward to growing and learning together.”
Datalogix is led by managing director Der Cremen and chief technical officer Damian White, who together bring more than 50 years of industry experience. Cremen said the move into Ekco would allow the business to increase investment in its OT services while maintaining the responsiveness valued by its clients.
The deal follows a busy 2025 for Ekco, during which it acquired cybersecurity consultancy Predatech and managed service providers Solsoft and Adapt IT.
Datalogix becomes the eighth company Ekco has purchased in two years as it continues its strategy to build a security‑first unified MSP platform across Europe.
EY advised the shareholders of Datalogix on the sale. Ronan Murray, a partner in the firm’s M&A practice, said EY was pleased to support the transaction and congratulated both teams.
