Irish software consultancy Core Financial Services expands with €1m RD&I investment backed by Enterprise Ireland.
Core Financial Systems has announced the creation of 30 new jobs at its global headquarters in Dublin as part of a €1 million Research, Development and Innovation (RD&I) expansion plan supported by Enterprise Ireland.
The software consultancy, which currently employs 33 people, will nearly double its workforce over the next three years.
“Our customers are transitioning from the digital age to the AI age, and our work is more important than ever to enable finance teams to innovate and support their AI strategies”
Founded more than 25 years ago, Core Financial Systems specialises in implementing financial management, procurement, and business intelligence solutions for clients across sectors including aviation leasing, public services, and financial services.
The AI-led future of finance
Karl O’Leary, CEO of Core Financial Systems, said: “We are delighted to be creating new roles across our organisation as we continue to scale. Our customers are transitioning from the digital age to the AI age, and our work is more important than ever to enable finance teams to innovate and support their AI strategies. We are thrilled to be supported by Enterprise Ireland as we continue to meet the needs of our clients and grow our organisation.”
The RD&I grant will support the company’s investment in research and software development, as well as its efforts to advance AI capabilities across its product offerings.
Jane Colgan, CFO of Core Financial Systems, highlighted the company’s commitment to diversity: “We’re excited to announce this new stage in our journey, and for our software solutions to exceed expectations as we scale up our team with fantastic new talent. We are proud to have a diverse team, with almost half of our workforce being women. We look forward to continuing to work to open up opportunities for women in a traditionally male-dominated area within some of these new roles.”
The new roles will span finance, marketing, IT infrastructure, and software development, with recruitment beginning in November.
Minister for Enterprise, Tourism and Employment Peter Burke welcomed the announcement, stating: “Core Financial Systems is an exciting and innovative Enterprise Ireland client company, and we are delighted to see the creation of 30 new high-value jobs. The Government is committed to supporting the growth of organisations such as Core Financial Systems that are vital to the development of our economy. I’d like to offer my congratulations to Karl, Jane and the team on their achievement and ambition to scale.”
Anne Lanigan, head of Technology, Services and Consumer at Enterprise Ireland, added that innovation is key for organisations to build scale in Ireland and internationally.
“Core Financial Systems’ success is based on its ability to consistently innovate its service offerings and to provide innovative software solutions to their customers over the past 25 years. At Enterprise Ireland, we are committed to helping organisations like Core Financial Systems to continue to develop and continue on a trajectory of success.”
