Circle K expands access to sustainable diesel alternative at eight outlets across Ireland.
Forecourt retailer Circle K is making its renewable diesel alternative milesBIO HVO100 available to all diesel drivers at eight forecourts nationwide.
Previously limited to business customers and Circle K’s own delivery fleet, the fuel is now accessible to the general public at selected locations.
“The addition of these eight new sites marks a major milestone in our journey towards more sustainable mobility in Ireland”
The newly added forecourts include Parkway West in Dublin, City Avenue, City North (M1), Cashel (Junction 8, M8), Fermoy (Junction 14, M8), Kill North, Kill South, and N4 East in Mullingar. These sites are positioned along key national routeways, making the fuel more accessible to long-distance and regional drivers.
With this expansion, Circle K now operates 30 forecourts offering milesBIO HVO100, making it the largest HVO refuelling network in Ireland. The company plans to extend availability to additional locations over the next year.
Fossil-free diesel
milesBIO HVO100 is a fossil-free, ISCC-certified biofuel produced from waste materials and by-products from the food industry.
It enables diesel vehicles to reduce carbon emissions by up to 90% compared to conventional diesel, without requiring any engine modifications. Pumps dispensing the fuel are marked with distinctive branding and grey nozzles to help drivers easily identify them.
Jonathan Diver, senior fuel director at Circle K, said the expansion reflects the company’s commitment to sustainable mobility.
“We’re proud to make milesBIO HVO100 available to even more diesel drivers at Circle K. The addition of these eight new sites marks a major milestone in our journey towards more sustainable mobility in Ireland,” he said.
“With milesBIO HVO100 now available at 30 locations nationwide, Circle K operates the largest HVO refuelling network in the country. Today’s announcement marks a significant step in making low-emission fuel solutions more accessible to the public and supporting motorists who want to reduce their environmental impact,” Diver added.
Circle K first introduced milesBIO HVO100 to the Irish market in 2022 for its own fleet and business customers. Companies such as Alltrans and FreightSpeed have already adopted the fuel and are reporting significant carbon savings across their operations.
The move supports the Irish Government’s goal to reduce transport emissions by 50 percent by 2030. Circle K also recently announced it will supply HVO to Irish Ferries for its Dublin Swift crossing between Dublin and Holyhead, contributing to more sustainable sea travel.
