Bridgestock Childcare in Sligo to create 25 new jobs

€1.1m purpose-built Bridgestock Childcare facility to open this summer.

Bridgestock Childcare is to open a new €1.1m facility in Sligo this summer with the creation of up to 25 jobs for early years educators.

Cre8ive Corner Creche is currently under construction by Bridgestock Childcare at Farmhill Manor on the Strandhill Road. The state-of-the-art creche will be the second Cre8ive Corner Creche in Sligo; the first has been located at Sea Road for the past 10 years.

“We focus on our people and that’s why staff stay with us”

The creches are operated by Bridgestock, a family-owned company which has been providing award-winning care services in Ireland, the UK and Belgium for over 20 years.

The company is expanding its childcare operations with plans for further growth in the coming years across the North West and the Midlands to meet huge demand for top-quality childcare facilities.

Recruitment campaign

The new Sligo facility, which already has a waiting list, has started a recruitment campaign for childcare professionals with plans to have the facility up and running over the summer.

“We are delighted to be opening our second Cre8ive Corner Creche in Sligo and look forward to building a quality team that will cater for the needs of the children of Sligo as well as their parents and guardians,” said Michael Gillen, CEO of Bridgestock Childcare.

“Due to the shortage of high-quality childcare facilities in Ireland; our plans at Bridgestock Childcare are to open additional childcare facilities across the North West and the Midlands in the near future.

“There is also currently a lack of career progression opportunities in the childcare sector for committed, professional Early Years Educators. Bridgestock Childcare provides a clear career path and progression for its team members with ongoing opportunities for career progression and continuous learning.

Bridgestock is a recent winner of the National Quality Management Systems overall award at the Excellence Ireland Quality Association’s (EIQA) Q Mark Awards ceremony. EIQA graded the company as having 100% employee engagement and has consistently ranked it in the top five per cent of all companies it audits across the country.

Cre8ive Corner Creche is also the only creche in Sligo to have been awarded the Shield Anti-Bullying Programme Certificate by the ISPCC.

“We focus on our people and that’s why staff stay with us. The awards received by our existing Cre8ive Corner Creche in Sligo clearly demonstrate that we are committed to providing childcare of the highest quality in state-of-the-art facilities.”
