FAIN Group secures market leadership in Ireland with Accel Lifts acquisition.
FAIN Group has cemented its position as Ireland’s biggest lift maintenance provider following the acquisition of Accel Lifts, one of the country’s most established independent operators.
The deal brings Accel and Doyle Lifts under a single operational umbrella, marking the first time the Spanish family-owned group has achieved market leadership in any of its global territories.
“We are creating a nationwide partnership with the scale and service quality to lead the Irish market for years to come”
Accel Lifts, founded and led by David Bourke, services more than 1,600 lift units across Dublin and Leinster and employs 22 staff, including 11 engineers. The company generates annual revenues of €4.6 million. It will continue to operate under its existing brand, while Doyle Lifts, acquired by FAIN in 2023, will relocate to Accel’s premises to enable closer integration.
The combined Irish operation will manage over 3,000 units nationwide, contributing to more than 8,600 lifts serviced under FAIN Ireland. Customers will benefit from shared engineering resources, advanced diagnostics, remote monitoring and predictive maintenance technology, according to the company.
FAIN elevates its position
“This is an exciting milestone for FAIN Group as we welcome Accel Lifts into our family,” said Michael Kelly, chief executive of FAIN Ireland.
“Accel has earned enormous trust across Ireland for its technical expertise and reliability. By combining Accel and Doyle Lifts, we are creating a nationwide partnership with the scale and service quality to lead the Irish market for years to come.”
David Bourke, managing director of Accel Lifts, said the deal would allow the company to retain its client-focused approach while gaining access to the resources of a larger international group.
“Joining FAIN Group allows us to preserve what makes us unique while benefiting from innovation and shared services,” he said.
FAIN Group, which has more than 50 years’ experience and maintains over 100,000 lifts globally, has pursued an aggressive acquisition strategy in recent years. By the end of 2025, the company will have completed 14 acquisitions across seven countries, including Spain, France, Belgium, Switzerland, the Netherlands and Denmark.
It aims to exceed €250 million in turnover, reinforcing its position as Europe’s largest family-owned lift engineering company.
