Kilkenny accountancy firm brings sector expertise and 45-strong team to growing professional services network.
Xeinadin has strengthened its Irish operations with the addition of Carrigan O’Dwyer Limited, a Kilkenny-based accountancy firm known for its work with high-growth businesses in sectors such as cyber security, pharmacy and technology.
The deal marks a further step in Xeinadin’s expansion strategy across Ireland, adding to its existing presence in Leinster and deepening its advisory capabilities in the southeast region.
“Their expertise will further enhance how we support SMEs and ambitious businesses across the southeast”
Founded in 2006, Carrigan O’Dwyer has built a reputation for guiding early-stage companies through funding rounds, supporting scaling businesses and advising on complex projects in specialised industries.
The firm employs more than 45 people and operates from Kilkenny City, where it has grown steadily over the past two decades. Its focus on combining technical expertise with strategic advisory services has helped position it as one of the fastest-growing accountancy practices in the region.
Advisory capabilities
Sandra Clarke, Managing Partner of Xeinadin, said the addition would strengthen the group’s ability to serve ambitious businesses across Ireland.
“Welcoming Carrigan O’Dwyer Limited to Xeinadin is a significant step in strengthening our advisory capabilities in Ireland, particularly across high-growth sectors such as cyber security and technology,” she said.
“Their ability to combine technical excellence with strategic thinking, alongside a clear focus on building long-term client relationships, sets them apart. Their expertise will further enhance how we support SMEs and ambitious businesses across the southeast.”
Carrigan O’Dwyer’s leadership said the decision to join a larger network reflects both the maturity of the firm and the opportunities available through scale.
Martin Carrigan, director of Carrigan O’Dwyer Limited, said the move would allow the business to build on its existing foundations while offering new development paths for staff and clients alike.
“Carrigan O’Dwyer is 20 years in business, and we felt the time was right to join a larger organisation like Xeinadin,” he said. “Xeinadin offers the scale and capabilities of a large practice while at the same time prioritising local relationships and an SME first approach, which matches our values as a company.”
He added that the partnership would unlock further growth potential for the Kilkenny firm. “Joining Xeinadin brings tremendous benefits, building on the strong foundation we’ve established while unlocking new resources, opportunities and growth potential. It also opens meaningful career opportunities for our people, giving them exposure to experienced and ambitious peers who will support their professional development.”
The addition of Carrigan O’Dwyer gives Xeinadin a second office in Kilkenny, complementing its existing site at Lacken House. The group now operates 11 offices across Leinster and 32 nationwide, underlining the pace of its expansion in recent years.
Xeinadin has been actively pursuing acquisitions as part of its Irish growth strategy. Seven firms joined the group during 2025, and it has indicated plans to continue investing in additional practices throughout 2026 as it seeks to broaden its national footprint and enhance its service offering to small and medium-sized enterprises.
The latest deal highlights ongoing consolidation in the accountancy and professional services sector, as mid-sized firms increasingly align with larger networks to access greater resources, technology and specialist expertise while maintaining local client relationships.
