Dublin software company Xtremepush has forged a partnership with global digital sports publisher LiveScore, which has 50m active users around the world.

LiveScore gives users real-time updates, fixtures, results, scores, stats and news on a wide range of sports, primarily soccer.

The popular website and app has a presence across the globe, with users in 99pc of the world’s territories, and recently announced a partnership with LaLiga at a launch event in Madrid attended by former Manchester United manager and LiveScore ambassador Jose Mourinho.

“This partnership enables us to understand and engage with sports fans in ways we never could before”

Established in 2014 by Tommy Kearns and Dr Kevin Collins, Xtremepush recently celebrated winning the Customer Experience category at the Deloitte Financial Services Innovation Awards and this summer, it became the first Irish tech business to earn a place in the 2019 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Mobile Marketing Platforms.

Keeping it real-time

Xtremepush will deliver LiveScore a comprehensive communications system and add a wide range of new channels (app and web push notifications, in-app messages, app inbox, onsite pop-ups) to provide fans with real-time scores and related content.

“LiveScore is a phenomenal company, with a well-deserved reputation for excellence in the digital publishing industry,” said CEO of Xtremepush Tommy Kearns.

“Their sponsorship deal with LaLiga shows the level they are operating at. We’re delighted to play such a prominent role in their customer engagement plans over the coming years.”

The Dublin-based digital engagement platform will also act as the intelligence engine, empowering LiveScore to better understand their users’ behaviour. Going forward, fans will be able to opt in to receive real-time, hyper-personalised and contextually-relevant messages about their favourite teams.

LiveScore’s CCO Derren Maggs, explained the company’s decision to work with Xtremepush.

“We needed a service partner who could meet our demanding requirements in terms of operational scale, message volume and project scope. Xtremepush impressed us with their world-class technical capabilities, agility and the completeness of their platform.

“This partnership enables us to understand and engage with sports fans in ways we never could before. We strive to help our users ‘Stay Ahead of the Game’ and Xtremepush will allow us to fulfil this brand promise in new and exciting ways.”
