TEKenable buys Greenfinch to create a cloud player of scale

Combined TEKenable and Greenfinch business will employ more than 90 people, 100 customers and projected revenues of €8m this year.

Tech services player TEKenable has acquired Greenfinch Technology in a move that will create a combined business with more than 90 employees. The terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

Greenfinch Technology is a Microsoft Gold Partner, specialising in cloud solutions, mobile apps and software for medical devices. The company employs 26 peple and has its own products in the areas of workflow automation and compliance.

Together the two companies will have around 100 customers and for the current financial year revenues of €8m are being projected.

Scaling into the clouds

The acquisition will accelerate TEKenable’s growth and allow it to enter new markets. It will also add significant Intellectual Property (IP) in new market sectors, new technology solutions and application delivery.

“The acquisition of Greenfinch is a significant development for our business and brings together a dedicated and highly skilled team delivering ‘Low Code’ cloud platform solutions which will establish us as one of the leading providers of cloud application services in both Ireland and the UK,” explained TEKenable managing director Nick Connors.

TEKenable, founded in 2002 by Nick Connors and Peter Rose is an innovative technology company focused on delivering digital evolution through Low Code platforms to medium and large-scale enterprises both in Ireland, the UK and Middle East.

The company is Irish owned and is committed to transforming forward-thinking public and private sector businesses into fully digital businesses in the cloud. TEKenable is a Gold Microsoft Partner and a Deloitte Fast 50 recipient in 2019.

Greenfinch founders Dermot Reid and fellow director Brendan Thomas and the  executive management team will join the TEKenable team, focusing on continued growth of the business and to oversee the successful integration of the two companies.
