The Galway town of Gort got welcome news today (1 July) that 25 new jobs will be created and that 50 additional jobs could be on the way at the Natus Medical manufacturing plant.

Natus Medical Incorporated announced the expansion of operations in Gort, County Galway with an official opening of a new Distribution Centre Located in the IDA Business Park.

The new Distribution Centre is a custom-built 22,000 square foot facility that expands the existing Natus facility in Gort to over 66,000 square feet.

“Our Gort facility is an essential part of the Natus global manufacturing and distribution network, and this expansion will allow us to grow in a location that offers an advanced infrastructure, a high-performance culture and top-level talent”

Along with a multi-million-dollar investment in the development of the new facility in Gort, the company expects to hire an initial 25 employees to support the facility expansion in the coming months, with further plans to increase the current workforce from 125 to 200 employees within three years.

As such the company is a strong reference seller for us in working to win further Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) to the regions of Ireland which is a key focus for IDA Ireland.”

The new roles will support all areas of the business, from production, quality, regulatory, manufacturing, engineering, customer service, finance and supply chain.
