The countdown to Inspirefest 2018 is on. With just over a week to go, get ready for one of the most creative and inspirational events of the summer.

Inspirefest is an international festival of technology, science, design and the arts which takes place on June 21st and 22nd in the Bord Gáis Energy Theatre in Dublin’s Silicon Docks.

Over the two days, 3,000 attendees will hear from more than 60 inspiring speakers from 38 countries. Over two thirds of the speakers are women.

The event will cover many different topics so there will be something for everyone – from senior executives, to startups, to doctors, and students. Environmental science, the future of work, digital transformation and blockchain are just some of the themes that will be among the diverse topics of discussion for this year’s event.

Keynote speakers for Inspirefest 2018 include; Surbhi Sarna, the 32-year-old whose start-up, nVision Medical, has just sold to Boston Scientific for $275m; Claire Lee, head of early-stage banking at Silicon Valley Bank; and Liza Donnelly, cartoonist and writer for The New Yorker and leading #MeToo advocate.

Bank of Ireland is the headline sponsors for this year’s event and the organisation’s director of distribution channels, Áine McCleary, will be one of the main speakers. Having led senior teams across retail, corporate and institutional customer segments, she now leads a team of professionals engaging with customers across all channels.

“It’s great to see that Bank of Ireland is sponsoring Inspirefest again for 2018. Inspirefest’s focus on thought-provoking talks, its mixture of brilliant minds and its dedication to diversity and inclusion make it one the best events of its kind in Europe. I can’t wait to hear some of this year’s guest speakers on the main stage,” says McCleary.

“We’re so happy to see how much Inspirefest has grown and feel this year might be our best yet. Since the very first Inspirefest, we’ve learnt so much about what our attendees want and the type of speakers they enjoy seeing so we think we’ve managed to round up some of the most brilliant minds from around the world to talk about the key themes,” says Ann O’Dea, founder of Inspirefest.
