Dublin native’s Chargify to create 30 jobs

Led by Dublin native Paul Lynch, new Dublin operation to spearhead Chargify’s global expansion strategy.

Leading events-based billing solution for B2B SaaS companies Chargify has revealed plans to hire 30 jobs in Dublin over next two years.

Chargify has opened the EMEA headquarters as part of an international expansion strategy developed to better serve their expanding customer base and respond to new opportunities and strategic partnerships in the region.

“As a Dubliner I am proud to see our expansion across EMEA take shape from Ireland”

Currently employing 130 people in its San Antonio, Texas headquarters, Chargify’s EMEA headquarters in Dublin will see the initial hiring of 30 employees by the end of 2022, with immediate plans to hire 10 employees by the end of 2020 in a variety of engineering, product, business development and customer success roles.

EMEA footprint

“As a Dubliner I am proud to see our expansion across EMEA take shape from Ireland,” said Chargify’s CEO Paul Lynch.

Lynch said that Chargify plans to use the Dublin location to have a greater footprint across Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

Already a strong player in the EMEA region with up to 30% of customers based there, the new Dublin base will allow Chargify to provide more localised service to its growing customer base and is further proof of a new wave of US scale-ups choosing Dublin as their EMEA base as they look to further their growth into the region.

Chargify, which managed over $2.9 bn of billing for customers in 2019, had a record setting 2020 second quarter including a 250pc increase in their growth rate as well as a 181% increase in demand for their product.

In 2019, Chargify also experienced significant, double-digit revenue growth and more than doubled the size of its team.

Product price points

Earlier this year, Chargify acquired Keen to develop the ‘Events-Based Billing’ solution as part of their portfolio.

Product Price Points, Chargify’s newest pricing tool, allows users of the platform to associate different prices and settings for any product within the user’s product catalog. Chargify has seen over 90% of all customers switch to the Product Price Points model, giving customers freedom to choose, change, and customise their pricing.
