Business for Social Impact incubator seeks entrepreneurs

A few passionate changemakers needed: Social Impact Ireland has launched a new calendar of programmes and workshops for 2021.

Social Impact Ireland’s popular ‘Business for Social Impact’ Incubator Programme is now open for applications. It is a free of charge, online programme which is open for nationwide participation.

Social Impact Ireland has provided valuable Incubator Programmes, events, and other initiatives specifically designed to support and nurture social entrepreneurs in their entrepreneurial journeys, to connect them with the wider business community and help them become viable and financially independent.

“Social entrepreneurship generates social impact and not only helps to boost a country’s economy, but it also boosts its social fabric”

The Business for Social Impact Incubator Programme is designed specifically to create and develop sustainable businesses that make a positive social impact. Now more than ever, it is important to support and strengthen the social enterprise sector and help nourish ideas.

Calling on budding Irish social entrepreneurs

“Collaboration is the heart of what Social Impact Ireland is all about, working with organisations to support our social entrepreneurs at every stage of their business development,” explained Pauline Gannon, one of the founders of Social Impact Ireland.

“Social entrepreneurship generates social impact and not only helps to boost a country’s economy, but it also boosts its social fabric. During these turbulent times, it is now more important than ever to support and strengthen our social enterprises. If we work together, connect and support each other, we can build a social economy that benefits us all.”

As part of the Business for Social Impact Incubator Programme, Social Impact Ireland will provide participants with insights from experts in all areas of social business, provide a platform to discover the possibilities, explore options and map out the pathway that fits the participant and their business. It is also a unique opportunity for participants to connect with like-minded people with whom to share and learn from throughout the duration of the programme, and beyond.

Phase One consists of 14 half-day workshops. This initial part of the programme is a series of collective workshops, delivered online commencing in early March. The workshops will allow participants to work collaboratively while also focusing on their individual enterprise.  Phase Two consists of tailored one-to-one sessions for participants, access to a support network as well as marketing and pitch presentation support.

Applications for this programme close on 6 February and there is no financial cost for the participants.

Meanwhile, Social Impact Ireland’s short course ‘Business Strategy and Values Workshop’ is also now open for registrations. The course will help participants to create a workable strategic plan to guide their enterprise towards their driving vision.

This course is designed for founders, managers and key decision-makers, tasked with guiding their organisation through these uncertain times but in a way that stays true to the values and purpose that is at the heart of their enterprise.

Registrations are now open and the short course will run over four Thursday mornings: 4th, 11th, 18th, and the 25th February 2021
